A gentle embrace that welcomed me into the world – you gave me life, I was planted in the most elegant flowerbed adjacent to the birch tree on the hill. The Gardener nurtured me into the marvelous flower I am today. With every ray of sunshine, you smothered me in your utmost devotion. The Gardener carefully mends her flowerbeds in hopes that they will bloom – the love, the sacrifice the Gardener gives her delicate flowers are abundant – they are ravishing, her own creation. The Gardener keeps her flowers safe, unharmed by the harsh variables that may affect its growth. As she shelters the flowers from the storms that are in its path the Gardener prepares its flowerbeds to withstand unexpected weather. Rain pours on the flowerbeds, lightning strikes As the delicate flower suffers through a catastrophe. The petals begin to wilt – her flowers are strong. In spite of the bad season, the flowerbed still survives. From which, her Gardener prepared her for. The flowerbed is cherished – harvested for a great upbringing. The Gardener begins to restore the flowers with her tender love. The flowers start to grow again. Nestled in beauty, the vibrant colors now show on the petals of the flower. The sun is yet to shine. However, the flower is a fighter, as her Gardener had prepared her for. The Gardener is a warrior, a hero, the Gardener is her mother.

Happy Mothers Day mom.

I think about you often, I miss you. Thank you for preparing me for the most horrendous storms – I promised you that I would shine bright and make you proud.

I thank you for all you have taught me and continue to teach me with your grace.

Darkness may cover me on cloudy days but I know you are there to bring back my sunshine.

May you continue to rest in peace. I love you mom, Forever and always.

In honor of Mothers Day, hold your mother close and appreciate what she has given you with her wisdom and adoration because you never know how much time you have with her –  If you are a mother and reading this, thank you for being you. for being so selfless to bring life into the world. You are a Gardener. Nurture your flowers, and watch them grow.

Happy Mother’s Day!

Xoxo,

Samantha
